Critical Information About Hypixel Bans
A Hypixel ban is when a player receives certain restrictions like a mute, a ban, a blocked username, or a forum ban on his account because he violated at least one of Hypixel’s Network Rules. Because of the nature of the platform, you may have broken a variety of different rules so that the punishment length will vary.
You can get banned from Hypixel for many different reasons, but in general, keep in mind that to get banned means that you’ve broken a rule.
Below you can find a list of the most common reasons to get banned on Hypixel:
- Teaming up with an enemy team or player.
- Sabotaging your teamates.
- Creation of an inappropriate build or drawing on the server.
- Inappropriate usage of server cosmetics, items, or other content.
- Use of an inappropriate skin or cape on the server.
- Extreme Chat Infraction.
- Cheating
- Boosting your account to improve your stats.
- Boosting detected on one or multiple SkyBlock profiles.
- Exploiting a bug or issue within the server and using it to your advantage.

- Suspicious activity has been detected on your account.
- Your account’s security appeal was processed and the account has entered a recovery phase.

Types of Hypixel Bans
There are three types of bans in Hypixel:
Watchdog Bans: Watchdog is Hypixel’s Cheat Detection System. It analyzes data in real-time from all players on all servers and determines whether a player is cheating or not. When Watchdog spots a player cheating, it instantly bans him. Watchdog bans will also restrict your IP address.
Example of Watchdog ban: You downloaded the latest cheats for Hypixel, you log in with your account, play around for 30 minutes, and you get a message that you have been banned on Hypixel. Now your account is restricted from playing the game, and also, any other account you will try to log in to will get restricted sooner or later because your IP address is blocked. You are breaking the rules by playing with another account while you are already banned.
Staff Bans: This type of ban is when a member of the Hypixel team will manually ban a player because he has been reported or seen cheating, griefing, or generally breaking the rules. Stuff bans will also restrict your IP address.
Example of a Staff Ban: You got multiple reports from different players that you are using cheats in-game, or a staff member watches you traveling at super high speeds. They will manually ban your account and IP address. Same as the Watchdog ban, but instead of the Anti-cheat banning you, here is a human.
Security Bans: A security ban is a protection system implemented by Hypixel a few years ago. What it does is it will automatically ban/block your account if it detects a high number of login attempts from different locations. This one is straightforward to appeal to as long as you are not guilty of manipulating the system.
Example of a Security Ban: Let’s say your email and password have been leaked online on hacking forums. Multiple people from different world locations will try to log in to your account in short periods. This will trigger the security and ban your account to keep it safe.
Another more realistic example would be using public IPs from VPNs to connect to Hypixel. Most of these IP addresses are already blocked and can get your account banned. That’s why if you want to play with a VPN, you will have to get one that provides you with a dedicated IP address, as NordVPN does.
How to Appeal a Hypixel Ban
Let’s get first on how to properly appeal to a Hypixel Ban and increase your chances of getting your ban lifted, and then we will talk about how you can bypass it.
You will first need to go to hypixel.net/appeals/ to create an appeal. Make sure your Minecraft account is linked before submitting an Appeal.
Minecraft Account: Will be filled automatically
Punishment Details: You can see detailed information related to your ban.
Appeal: You only have one chance here, so don’t mess up. You must clearly understand why you got banned and know exactly which actions got you banned.
MOST IMPORTANT THING: DONT START THE FIRST SENTENCE WITH SOMETHING LIKE: “It was not me I swear, my brother did it.”. Most likely, the staff member will just skip your appeal.
Tips to get a staff member actually to pay attention to your appeal and hopefully unban you:
- Don’t make excuses or lie.(They have more information and logs about you than you can think of)
- Be very detailed but relevant.
- Good grammar(Don’t be like: plz unban me not my bad idk what happened lol)
- Easy to read(Make it very easy for them to read and understand you)
- Be polite(You are nothing special and they probably have thousands on the waiting list)
- Include as much proof and evidence as possible.(Mods folder/Minecraft folder via screenshots or even upload them on cloud, opening your chatlogs, recording your mouse, CPS tester, or any other thing that can actually prove you are legit.)
Example of a Ban Appeal for Hypixel:
Hello, I hope you are doing great!
Recently my account got banned because of many unauthorized login attempts from different IP locations.
On Monday 12 early in the morning, I received a notification from my X Software password manager telling me that one of my email & password combinations had probably been compromised. I didn’t pay attention because I thought it was some promotion to make me pay extra. Nevertheless, I received another notification for one of my other emails later that day.
I took the time and researched the web, and I found out that my email and password are public around the internet because of the latest X Company data breach. (Screenshots and links to the latest news can be found below). So I suspect that hackers have tried to log in to my account using VPNs from different locations.
I would appreciate it if you could take the time and recheck my case because I am sure that this is why my account got banned.

How to Bypass a Hypixel Ban
So if you failed to appeal your Hypixel ban, below, you could find a step-by-step guide that can get you back to Hypixel in no time.
To bypass the Hypixel ban with 100% success, you should do every step of this guide in the same order as shown below and not skip a single one. If you do skip or change the order, you will most likely get banned instantly again!
Step 1 – Uninstall Minecraft
On the first step of this guide, we want to ensure a fresh copy of Minecraft with no previous history on our computer.
Go to your Windows search bar and type: “Apps and Features“, and click on the option that will pop up.
Search for Mojang / Minecraft, click on it, and then select uninstall.
Also, delete the folders with your MOD files, etc.
Step 2 – Completely Clear the Cache and any Fingerprints
Now that you have uninstalled Minecraft, you want to delete any leftovers to ensure that nothing goes wrong later.
- Press Windows key + R and type “%localappdata%” and hit enter.
- Locate the Mojang / Minecraft folder/s and delete them.
- Navigate to your C: drive -> Windows -> Temp
- Locate the Mojang / Minecraft folder/s, and delete them.
Step 3 – Get A High-Quality New IP Address.
Your IP address is one of the most important steps, that will even make or break everything you did above to bypass the ban. The best way to change your IP address is to use a VPN service or a proxy server(Proxys need an excellent setup to avoid disconnections and unhiding your IP, so let’s stick with the VPN).

Once you have installed NordVPN
- Run NordVPN, go to Settings, and enable the “Kill Switch” option
- Make sure you have enabled OpenVPN (TCP) protocol from the settings tab.
- Click on Servers List and choose the location you wish.
Step 4 – Install Minecraft
Before you download and install Minecraft again, make sure NordVPN is running on you and is connected to a new IP address.
Download Minecraft and install it.
Step 5 – Use/Create a New Minecraft/Hypixel Account

Create a new Hypixel account as well.
Once you got a new account ready, it’s time to get to the final step.
Final Step
Now that we got a tool to hide our IP address, we cleared any history/fingerprints, and we got a fresh Minecraft account; we are ready to take action and bypass that Hypixel Ban.
- Run NordVPN
- Navigate to Dedicated IP
- Choose your preferred country
- Choose your preferred server, and click Connect.
