There are many ways to display your PC game’s FPS, but in this post, we will focus only on the NVidia FPS Counter, which comes prepacked with GeForce Experience software. To use the NVidia FPS Counter, you should have an NVidia graphics card and GeForce Experience installed on your computer.
Before I show you how to enable the FPS Counter, I highly recommend you go ahead and download the latest drivers for your NVidia graphics card.
You can do that directly from the GeForce Experience software.
Once you’ve installed the latest drivers, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open GeForce Experience Software
Find the shortcut of the Geforce experience software, right-click on it and choose run as administrator.

Step 2: Navigate to the Settings
Look for General settings and click on it, then look for In-Game Overlay and click on the settings button.

Step 3: Enter HUD Layout Setting
Now you should be able to see a list with several different options. Look for HUD Layout and click on it.

Step 4: Enable the FPS Counter
By now, you can see the FPS Counter option. Click on it, and then on the right side, you should see 4 boxes. These boxes demonstrate the position of the Nvidia FPS Counter on your screen.
Choose your FPS Counter desired position on screen and click back and exit.

That’s it. You just enabled the NVidia FPS Counter overlay on your computer. By now, once you start playing your favorite game, you should see the FPS Counter on your screen at the position that you previously chose. If your FPS is low, you may consider following my Windows 10 debloat guide, which will help you increase your FPS.
Now that you can see your FPS, it’s time to get them higher.
