How To Change Your Blizzard Location
Below you can find step-by-step instructions on how to successfully change your virtual location on Blizzard in a few simple steps, whether using your PC browser or mobile app.
1. New browser or Reinstall the Blizzard app.
The first step is to get the portable version of Chrome to make sure that there will be no link between your current region and the new one. Old activity, cookies, location data, location services settings, and browser settings can mess up things quickly; you don’t want that.
If you are on an Android device or iPhone, reinstall the app or your browser, and you can move on to the next step.
If you are on a PC/Laptop, follow the steps below:
Open your current web browser and visit the official website for the portable version of Google Chrome.
Once you are on the PortableApps webpage for Google Chrome Portable, locate and click the “Download” button. This will take you to the download page for the portable version of Chrome.
After downloading, navigate to the folder where the file was saved and double-click on it to start the installation process.
The Portable Chrome installation wizard will appear. Click “Next” to proceed and follow the onscreen instructions.
The portable Chrome browser is now ready, and you can proceed with masking your GPS location from Blizzard.
2. Disable location settings.
Now let’s disable the option that allows your browser to show your real location on Blizzard.
PC Users
Launch the portable Chrome browser that you installed.
Click on the three vertical dots in the browser window’s upper-right corner to open the Chrome menu.
Click “Settings” from the menu to open the browser settings.
Scroll down to the “Privacy and Security” section and click “Site settings”.
In the “Site settings” menu, locate and click on “Location” to access the location settings.
Toggle the switch next to “Don’t allow sites to see your location” to the ON position if it is not already enabled. This setting ensures that your browser won’t leak your actual location. Blizzard will be able to still get your region information by other means, but in the next step, I will show you how to change it to a fake one.
Next, go to Google.com, and on the bottom right side, click on “Settings” and choose “Search Settings”.
Scroll down and look for “Region Settings”. Once you find it, locate your preferred one, click on it, and click “Save”
