Every modern PC can handle Apex Legends with ease on relatably high fps. The main focus of players looking for the best Apex Legends settings is to achieve the highest FPS possible, lowest input lag and latency, and have the smoothest possible gameplay.
Apart from those settings, it’s also important to optimize your mouse, control, and sensitivity settings. I am not the most experienced Apex Legends player, so I will suggest you settings from Pro Apex Legends players.
Below I will go over everything you need to know about Apex Legends camera settings, controller settings, binds, graphics settings, and even sound settings to hear footsteps clearer. If you’ve played Apex Legends for any time, you should have released that the default settings don’t allow you to play at your best potential.
Sticking to the default settings will disadvantage you no matter how good you are. So we will improve all the settings to get you the most benefits.
Also, at the end of this post, you’ll find resources to optimize your PC to achieve higher performance, fps, less input lag, and less latency in Apex Legends and any other game you might be playing.
Best Apex Legends settings
When it comes to the best Apex Legends settings, whatever you may be looking for, you will probably find it in this guide.
I will go in-depth in every important setting and give you some suggestions from my experience or from my research on the best Apex Legends Pro player’s settings.
Best Apex Legends Launch Options
You can add the following commands in your Steam or Origin Launch options to increase your game’s performance even more. The following commands will do the following:
- Give your game higher priority than the rest of the apps running simultaneously.
- It Will preload different aspects of the game, which is helpful for low-med-end GPUs.
- I will uncap the FPS limit in Apex Legends.
- It will make your game run on Fullscreen since this setting changes automatically often.
- Skip the intro of the game every time it launches.
-high -preload +fps_max 0 -fullscreen -novid -dev

Best Apex Legends Graphics settings
One of the mosessentialnt settings tabs in Apex Legends since the settings you choose here will determine how your game looks and performs. Even players with the best hardware are lowering the graphics quality settings just for the game’s smoothness, the higher FPS, and the competitive advantage you get by not being distracted by fancy graphics.
- Display Mode: Full Screen. You always want to play on full screen since the game will run way better.
- Aspect Ratio: Native for visuals. Higher than native if you want to be stretched. ( Make everything look a little bit bigger, so it may be helpful for you to hit targets easier)
- Resolution: Native
- Brightness: 50%
- Field of View: 110
- Sprint View Shake: Minimal, so when you are running, your screen doesn’t bounce.

Advanced
- V-Sync: Disabled. Always disabled since it adds input lag.
- NVidia Reflex: Experiment with this since it gives different results on different setups.
- Adaptive Resolution FPS Target: 0
- Adaptive Supersampling: Disabled.
- Anti-aliasing: None.
- Texture Streaming Budget: This really depends on your setup, and you have to test it out by yourself.
- Texture Filtering: Bilinear
- Ambient Occlusion Quality: Disabled
- Sun Shadow Coverage: Low
- Sun Shadow Detail: Low
- Spot Shadow Detail: Disabled
- Volumetric Lighting: Disabled
- Dynamic Spot Shadows: Disabled
- Model Detail: Low
- Effects Detail: Low
- Impact Marks: Disabled
- Ragdolls: Low

So actually, you have to set almost everything on the lowest option to give you the best performance and fps possible in-game except the Texture Streaming Budget setting, on which you will have to experiment by yourself to find the best balance.
Best Apex Legends Audio settings
Sound settings mostly default and personal preference.
- Master Volume: 80%
- Voice Chat
- Voice Chat Record Mode: Push to Talk
- Open Mic Record Threshold: 1300
- Incoming Voice Chat Volume: 100%
- Advanced
- Sound Effects Volume: 100%
- Dialogue Volume: 100%
- Music Volume: 0
- Lobby Music Volume: 0
- Sound in Background: Off
- Play Incoming Text Chat as Speech: Off
- Convert Incoming Voice to Chat Text: Off

Best Apex Legends Gameplay settings

- Crosshair Damage Feedback: Off. It makes it a little bit easier to aim.
- Damage Numbers: Stacking
- Ping Opacity: Faded. You will be able to see through the pings you leave on the ground.
- Obituaries: On. Kills and Death feed on the top right corner when someone dies or when you kill someone.
- Minimap Rotation: On
- Weapon Auto-Cycle on Empty: On. When you shoot the last available bullet/shot of a weapon, your other gun will pull out automatically.
- Auto-Sprint: Off.
- Double-Tap Sprint: Off.
- Incoming Damage Feedback: 3D. It shows in which direction you are getting shot by using a 3D Arrow.
- Taking Damage Closes Deathbox or Crafting Menu: Off. You don’t want to be out of your Death box just because someone is hitting you.
- Hop-Up Pop-Up: On. It shows a small kind of notification on the bottom right of the screen with every hop-up you attach to any gun.
- Streamer Mode: Hides people’s names in the kill feed.
- Anonymous Mode: Does the opposite of Streamer Mode. It hides your name in the kill feed.
- Usage Sharing: Disabled.
- Performance Display: On. Shows you performance stats on the top right corner.
- Club Invites: Whatever
- Accessibility
- Color Blind Mode: I prefer Tritanopia.
- Subtitles: Off
- Subtitle Size: It doesn’t matter since subtitles are disabled.
- Enable Accessible Chat Features: Off
- Convert Incoming Voice to Chat Text: Off
- Play incoming Text Chat as Speech: Off
